ART DE VIVRE: L’OCCITANE

ART DE VIVRE: L’OCCITANE

TUNE FOR THOUGHT ♫  La Mer – Charles Trenet

From the south of France, comes the luxurious line of skincare, lotions and fragrances of L’OccitaneThis line embodies the art de vivre, or the art of living,- or lifestyle in the South of France. The Provence has a beauty and charm all its own, although I’ve never actually been, I imagine it would be delightful dream like a classic film complete with warm rays of sun and florals swaying in the breeze to light French tunes. I love delving into the history and culture behind each line that goes beyond the contents of a product. L’Occitane, properly pronounced as LOX-EE-TAHN, is a sensorial experience from the scents to the textures of their formulas.

Straying off topic for a bit- we’ve been doing it all wrong. How to properly pronounce the coveted French designers here. One of my bucket list items: to speak this wonderful language. Bonjour my Parisian copains.

Now back to L’Occitane, if you have been newly introduced to this line or you’ve been religiously using it for years, you can try the products for yourselves, or gift a friend for free. Find out how below.

This gift set is the perfect travel-sized essentials. It’s the ideal carry-on size or to even pop into your purse. The deluxe gift set comes in the dandelion colored box below, which includes their best-selling Divine Cream, the Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo, and the Almond Delicious Hands cream.

The Divine Cream smells like the marriage of florals and bright citrus notes. This luxurious, yet lightweight cream helps fight the signs of aging with  the organic Immortelle essential oil with 7-plant derived active ingredients to give your skin a radiant glow. I use this nightly before bed.

The Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo contains an anti-breakage complex with 5 essential oils, Vitamin B5 to help smooth, soften and protect hair fibers. It’s also silicone-free, which is a plus. Envelope yourself, or your head, with notes of angelica, lavender, geranium, ylang ylang & sweet orange. I take the gift-sized bottle with me when I travel and mix in a dime sized amount of purple-shampoo for my hair color.

The Almond Delicious Hands. What a suiting name. I always, always have hand cream on me, and have the full sized cream currently in my bag. It’s silky smooth & rich, yet non-greasy with scents of fresh almonds. I apply this 4 to 5 times a day, or after every time I wash my hands. I also smooth it over my cuticles as well. I have self-proclaimed baby-skin hands.

But you don’t have to take my word for it, you can try it yourself. To redeem the free deluxe sample gift set for yourself or to gift for a friend, click this link here! I think you’ll stumble upon some new favorites.
