My blog turns 1 today! It’s been 1 year since I birthed this baby. I’ve lost nights of sleep & gained a bunch of weight – not because of my blog, I just did over the course of this past year. The last bit of 2014 up to present day 2015 has undoubtedly been the most incredible year of my life. The most unexpected and amazing opportunities & events have hit me & I’ve been living day to day appreciating every bit of it. I’ve also met my best friends along the way & that’s the greatest thing I’m thankful for. It’s insane how much can change & how much a person can grow in a span of a year. Each day doesn’t seem too different from the last, but add up 365 days and that’s a huge jump. I count my blessings and am so thankful for everything thus far and so very grateful for each and every one of you who have been following me on this journey & letting me into your lives. There’s some of you who’ve been following me since I last referred to myself as ‘elleneditx’ (throwback though) and those of you who just got onboard but I love y’all equally & thank you so much for coming into my life guyths *anime eyes*. This virtual connection we got goin. It’s real. Me love you long time.

Now onto business. This look is another look I shot out at Salvation and it’s probably one of my favorite looks. Got experimental and threw in a pop of color, a color that I also stray far from – red. Red isn’t my jam, but this Brixon hat was too killer to pass up on. I think this red hat is the only red-colored piece in my entire wardrobe, with the exception of panties. Not that you asked, but we just that close. I wore the top to a bikini set from Lulus. I love the cut of the piece, but the shells have got to be its selling point. It’s cute both in and out of water. I threw on my shaggy jacket from Pretty Attitude Shop that I wear far too much. I love the disheveled and effortless grunge look it has. You look bad and you ain’t even trying! And you know I like my heels high, but these days I’ve been opting for comfort and choosing flat shoes or sneakers. I may not be able to look down on people from my 6″ heels but now at least it doesn’t look like I bite. Jokes aside, I love a solid pair of sneakers, especially Chucks. Everyone needs a pair in their closet, or Wiz will come after you.
