#NYFW

I’m back at home base in LA from New York & London Fashion Week. This was my very first NYFW, which evidently turned into a New York Food Week. New York is always a great place to visit time & time again. I got a sneak peek into the madness and magic of fashion week. My very first fashion week was back in 2015 with Maybelline for Tokyo Fashion Week.

During these fashion weeks, the streets are the ultimate runway. It’s one of the most exciting elements for me. Seeing how the girls style the season’s looks with their personal it factors is a treat for the eyes and a stimulant for inspiration. How they brave the cold while managing to slay the streets is something I will have to manage with the coming seasons. They’re the real MVPs. On this trip, I also discovered the God send that is the UNIQLO heat tech. Ladies, ladies, ladies if you don’t know, now you know.

I leave you now with my collected bits from New York Fashion week.

BACKSTAGEwithZIMMERMAN.

Oh Zimmermann. It was an entirely different experience being backstage. When you’re watching the runway show from your seat, you have all but those couple seconds to soak in all the glory of these pieces as the models swiftly walk by; but being backstage, you have the chance to get more personal with the garments. You’re able to study the pieces, the attention to detail the designer has put each garment. But it’s also so much more beyond the clothing, as the make up artists and hair stylists converge backstage to create this ultimate look. There’s an air of excitement in all the chaos. Clothes have the ability to move you, and the Zimmermann show did just that.

A hidden gem. Happy I found  you gem.

Would highly, highly recommend these spots. Have them bookmarked for my return to the city. Pictured here, a dirty chai latte with almond milk. My weapon of choice. Also, I spend way too much on lattes, this one and matcha in specific. Not pictured here is the deconstructed avocado toast. You had me at avocado.

Until next time.
